Quadruple Cheesy-ness

Pardon me guys. I just can't get enough of this 'cheesy-ness' haha!! Now, this time I'm posting not just one video but four videos from four great bands. So hope you bear with my cheesyness, though this is really really going to be a tough one, 'coz this is quadruple the cheesyness of my previous posts. hehe!!

DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL

First Video: This video of "Stolen" is from one of my favorite bands 'Dashboard Confessional'. From the time I've heard their song "Hands down" I felt I needed to buy their record, well I didn't, 'coz I found out my brother has one. Haha!! Too bad they've become a little bit mainstream. I wonder when are they going to have a new album.

Here's an acoustic/orchestral version! Para mas 'cheesy'! haha!! I think this track would be a nice background music on a date. (hmmm.. thought bubble insert!) haha!!

We watch the season pull up its own stakes
And catch the last weekend of the last week
Before the gold and the glimmer have been replaced,
Another sun soaked season fades away

You have stolen my heart

Invitation only, grant farewells
Crush the best one, of the best ones
Clear liquor and cloudy eyed, too early to say goodnight

You have stolen my heart

And from the ballroom floor we are in celebration
One good stretch before our hibernation
Our dreams assured and we all, will sleep well

You have stolen
You have stolen my heart

I watch you spin around in the highest heels
You are the best one, of the best ones
We all look like we feel

You have stolen my
You have stolen my heart

AMBER PACIFIC

Second Video: This is the video of Poetically Pathetic by Amber Pacific, another favorite band of mine. Amber Pacific is a Seattle band, like Nirvana. Their songs are really great from the lyrics to the arrangement. They've just released an EP with 3 new tracks on i-tunes. The new tracks are: The Good Life; Don't Let It Fall Through and The Right Place At The Wrong Time

Here's the video of "Poetically Pathetic".

I'm Thinking of the words to say,
I'd like to think that this was fate.
Reference to a song you love,
Spell confusion with a "K"
Like a star without its strings,
I'm hanging here on these two wings.
For that smile and those eyes
I'm falling

If time could stop, how could I make this more poetic?
When there's nothing more pathetic to be said

You bring me out, show me light,
I'm sorry if I hide, I'm too afraid to look inside.
You carry truth, and make me smile.
If it were you and me tonight,
I would tame the stars and save the brightest one for you,
For you...

If you ever had the chance,
Would you make your life seem right?
Or would you only hold it back,
The good times, the hard, and the bad.
Whatever you say is alright,
Just as long as there's no doubt.
Could you look me in the eye
and say hopes died?

If time could stop, how could I make this more poetic?
When there's nothing more pathetic to be said

You bring me out, show me light,
I'm sorry if I hide, I'm too afraid to look inside.
You carry truth, and make me smile.
If it were you and me tonight,
I would tame the stars and save the brightest one for you.

Our wish,
Each time,
Keeps me returning to you,
Night after night
Lift me up as high as the clouds that won the sky,
For you and I

You bring me out, show me light,
I'm sorry if I hide, I'm too afraid to look inside.
You carry truth, and make me smile,
If it were you and me tonight,
I would tame the stars and save the brightest one for you

You bring me out, show me light,
I'm sorry if I hide, I'm too afraid to look inside
You carry truth, and make me smile
If it were you and me tonight,
I would tame the stars and save the brightest one for you,
For you...

Third Video: This one's an old one, from The Police, the English Rock band in the 80's wherein Sting was the vocalist back then. The band who popularized the song "Every Breath you Take". The video you'll about to see is a performance by Sting of the song It's "Every Little Thing she does is Magic", which was an original from The Police. I guess most of you know this, because our very own Paolo Santos had a cover of this in one of his albums.

Though Ive tried before to tell her
Of the feelings I have for her in my heart
Every time that I come near her
I just lose my nerve
As Ive done from the start

Every little thing she does is magic
Everything she do just turns me on
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on

Do I have to tell the story
Of a thousand rainy days since we first met
Its a big enough umbrella
But its always me that ends up getting wet

Every little thing she does is magic
Everything she do just turns me on
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on

I resolve to call her up a thousand times a day
And ask her if shell marry me in some old fashioned way
But my silent fears have gripped me
Long before I reach the phone
Long before my tongue has tripped me
Must I always be alone?

Every little thing she does is magic
Everything she do just turns me on
Even though my life before was tragic
Now I know my love for her goes on

LAST VIDEO: And to finish this off, I'll leave you with this song from... drum roll please! hehe! Of course the list isn't complete without a song from the band of my demi-God Kurt Cobain, Nirvana! hehe! The song is "About a Girl".

I need an easy friend
I do with an ear to lend
I do think you fit this shoe
I do what you have a clue

Ill take advantage while
You hang me out to dry
But I cant see you every night free
I do

Im standing in your light
I do hope you have the time
I do pick up number two
I do keep a date with you

I cant see you every night free
I do, I do, I do

CHUCK and SARAH

Anyone of you watch the series CHUCK? Chuck is an action-comedy series about an average computer whiz who receives an encoded e-mail from an old college friend now working in the CIA. The message embeds the only remaining copy of the world's greatest spy secrets into Chuck's brain.

Well, actually I am not a fan of this series and I've watched this only a couple of times. But when I am searching for the song "Crazy for this girl" by Life House on Youtube I found the video embedded below. After watching this video, I felt I need to get a copy of all the seasons of this series. Thanks there are available torrents for it!! Wohoo!!

The following is the transcript of the conversation between Sarah and Chuck, shown at the last minutes of the video.

Chuck Bartowski : Sarah, I'm not going to move in with you... Because I can't... And you know why I can't... I'm crazy about you. And I always have been. Having a fake relationship, that's one thing. But living together is... I mean everyday and being around each other and -and that's why i can't do it. I hope you understand.

Sarah Walker
: I do.
Chuck Bartowski: Thank you. [Starts to leave then stops]

Chuck Bartowski: Oh and uh just so you know, I am going to get this thing out of my head, one day. I will! And when I do, I'm going to live the life I want with the girl I love. Because I'm not going to let this thing rob me of that. I won't!

* I want to write my thoughts about the video, more particularly about the soundtrack and the conversation between Chuck and Sarah but I don't think I'm ready to blurt out whatever I am feeling right now here.. I might have a heart attack, if I did. So give this one to me! Okay?.. In time, I'll tell you my story..

By the way, you might have noticed that most of my current posts are youtube videos and that I haven't posted anything with substance and really well-thought of. Sorry guys, law school has been too demanding and so my creative will has gone down to zero. I feel like my brain's loaded by provisions of law and court cases. So please bear with my posts, and thanks to those who continue to appreciate them. ☻☻☻

I'd Like That

(Actual Intro to the song)
This song's about... talkin to the person you haven't even met yet.
Maybe they're rollin' around in the hay with someone else,
but they're not as good as you'll be... you just have to wait your turn.
She's out there, he's out there,
they're just learning what to contrast you against.

Stay at home alone on a Friday
Flat on my floor looking back
On old love
Or lack thereof
After all the crushes have faded
And all my wishful thinking was wrong
I'm jaded
I hate it

I'm tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
So tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
Get here..

Searching all my days just to find you
Not sure who I'm looking for
I'll know it
When I see you
Till then, I'll hide in my bedroom
Just staying up all night just to write
A love song for no one

I'm tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
I'm so tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here

I could have met you in a sandbox
I could have passed you on the sidewalk
Could I have missed my chance
And watched you walk away?
Oh no away
yadadadada
dadadada
dadada..

I could have met you in a sandbox
I could have passed you on the sidewalk
Could I have missed my chance
And watched you walk away?

I'm tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
So tired of being alone
So hurry up and get here
You'll be so good
You'll be so good for me
Ohh I know you'll be so good for me
For me

Heard the song "Love Song for No One" in my mp3 player and can't stop singing . Really love the way he sings and the messages of his songs, especially this one. The lyrics really hit me, at this very moment when I need someone.

I recalled that John Mayer has a really awesome video of it in one of his concerts so I checked my files, lucky I still have it. This is from John Mayer's "Any Given Thursday" Concert. The video I posted is from YOUTUBE, but I have a copy,if you want, just leave me a message.

I also found in my files this transcript of John Mayer's amazing intro to the song Love Song for No one.
The Song + this introductory speech or whatever you might call it= EPIC!

John Mayer: So I was thinkin' about relationships and about how it pertains to songs about relationships, And uh, I was trying to think, well it occurred to me that the key, I figured out the key to a relationship and how to make it work.

Check it out, this is, this is, a tip from your uncle John, check it out. When you first meet somebody, you find out they like you, first of all, a friend of a friend of theirs say, he or she really really likes you, and it kills you, floors you, sends you to the ground, you've got to pick yourself up off the ground; then you get their phone number and you call them up, right, and you say "Yeah, that's a really great phone conversation, can I see you some time?" and then they say this, they say, "I'd like that." Nothing feels better than "I'd like that".

So now, your blood pressures' goin, you're six feet off the ground, you can't sleep, because of "I'd like that". So then you hang out for a while, and you call and you talk on the phone all the time, and then you drop the bomb, what feels like the bomb, you say, "You know what, I've been thinkin about you a lot." And she goes, "Ahhhhhhh!" And you go "What happened?" and she goes, "I'm sorry, I just, I just, I just, that's, I've been thinking about you too." Bam. Higher into the sky. But now "I'd like that." Tch. Done. Now you're up to "I'm thinkin about you."

Then however number of months pass, it makes you feel comfortable saying it, you say "I gotta tell you something." They go "What?", you go "I'm in love with you." And nothing in the world sounds better than "I'm in love with you." And then maybe she starts crying, or maybe he goes "*gasp*". And all the sudden you're like "I'm in." But now what doesn't work?; "I'd like that." and "I've been thinkin about you." Now we're at "I'm in love with you." Then maybe some day it'll move up to "I love you." Fast forward, now you're like "I love you a lot; I love you more than anything in life." Now "I love you." doesn't work. It's a threshold that keeps movin up. Fast forward, like six months, six weeks, whatever the case may be, now you're on like, "I want to marry you." "I want to impregnate you with my love." "I wanna, I wanna just send my love to you." "Damn it, words don't work anymore." And then you say this line, and you know, you know you've used this line before, "I just wish they'd put a new word in the dictionary bigger than love because love just doesn't describe what I feel." And so now he or she starts askin, "Do you love me?" and you start goin, "Of course I love you." "Well say it." And then it becomes "Say it twice." And it goes "Say it three times." And then, you cross a really interesting point, where all the sudden it becomes "I hate you, I hate you." And you go, "Oh my god she hates me." And now it's like "I hate you more than anything." And then it's like "We're over." And then they go "No we're not." And you go "Yes we are." Now the words completely do not work at all, you're left with nothing. You're throwing punches under water. You're done. You know what the moral of that story is, if there is one. Never, ever, ever, ever underestimate the power of "I'd like that."
[laughs]

Get Up

"And I feel the way I feel because I need you all the time
And I know the things you know but that’s just not enough to make you mine
And I won’t do anything that it might compromise this time so I’ll just sit and hold my breath only that’s not enough to make you mine.."

Haayzzz... :(

Here's the full lyrics...

Sometimes it's not that time
For things I cannot hear
For words I cannot feel
The way you want to go
It makes me feel like shit
I'm last but that's not it
I wonder if she'll care
For me ever again
Waiting for the last time
I'm waiting for the right time
To see if she will know the things
She doesn't say to me

Chorus
And I feel the way I feel because I
Need you all the time and I
Know the things you know but that's just
Not enough to make you mine
And I won't do anything that it might
Compromise this time so
It's not enough to make you mine

Get up it's time to die
Just guess and don't ask why
Lately you just don't try
Someday we will fly
Higher than the satellites
Into a spacial paradise
Where up is up and down is down
And no one is around
(I don’t want to see you crying)
(Let’s leave)
(The dramatics behind)

You Give Me Something

Sometimes in the most unexpected places and the most unexpected circumstances we are struck by some thundber bolt. I don't know but it just happened so fast.. Here's the video, for you to understand what I am talking about..

You only stay with me in the morning
You only hold me when I sleep
I was meant to tread the water
But now I've gotten in too deep

For every piece of me that wants you
Another piece backs away

You give me something
That makes me scared alright
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try
Please give me something
Because someday I might know my heart

You only waited up for hours
Just to spend a little time alone with me
And I can say I've never bought you flowers
I can't work out what they mean

I never thought that I'd love someone
That was someone else's dream

You give me something
That makes me scared alright
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try
Please give me something
Because someday I might call you from my heart

But it might be a second too late
And the words that I could never say
Are gonna come out anyway

You give me something
That makes me scared alright
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try
Please give me something

You give me something
That makes me scared alright
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try
Please give me something
Because someday I might know my heart

Know my heart, know my heart, know my heart

The Love Bug

In our lives we make a lot of choices. But have you ever thought that in every choice we make, most of the time we aren't 100% sure about we are making the right choices. But one thing's for sure, we make our choices based on what we think would make us happy and something that would set us free.

We all know that as humans we have five senses, but they likewise say that we have a sixth sense. And that is intuition. In terms of love for example, when we met someone, there's a feeling inside us that the person we met awhile ago put on some flames and we felt there's a certain sparkle in our hearts. It felt great. It's as if we have known the person in our past lives.

Talking about love. Ever thought how vulnerable one can get when he or she falls in love? I wonder how this thing called Love can be so powerful that a person who is so naive becomes so serious or a composed individual becomes so excited.

Love, they say is the least random act in the whole world. It transcends blood. It transcends betrayal. We choose to give it. We choose to receive it. But how can someone know when to give or to receive? Yeah, I know hormones gets in the way with what we feels. But they say in those times that we get to experience love, our sixth sense comes in. And it's called intuition. Intuition lets someone feel that there's a connection between two people. A connection which cannot be defined in the most absolute terms. A feeling that can only be put into certainty when these two people get together as one.

Personal experience tells me that a different glow in one's eyes when he or she bumped into someone gives us an idea how love really works. It's as if there's a bolt of thunder that strikes him/her as they have an encounter. A magical moment as if you two are in a different dimension.

But in light of all of these, why do we feel that sometimes love tricks us, and the happy ending we all thought is ours is just but a dream that would never come true, or better yet an illusion, a fantasy.

Why does something that feels so right at a moment feels so queasy the next?

It's not uncommon for two lovers to fell out of love. The strong emotions felt when both decided to jump into a relationship were gone. Suddenly one wants out of it. In just a snap, the two, who are so happily in love before just decided to end everything. I can cite a number of reasons how relationships possibly could end but the list wont come to an end. Any two individuals in a relationship can end it if they want to. It takes various forms. Maybe one is too serious the other just want it to keep it loose. Or maybe it's the other way around. It does takes two to tango. But sometimes, even if they are willing to dance tango, the beat just ain't right for them.

It all boils down to the decisions we make. Part of the decisions we make is a risk of error. But unlike statistics the decisions in life cannot be quantified. There's no margin of error that you can adjust or readjust to come up with the right results. You're choice is limited to two, ACCEPT or REJECT.

As cliche as it may sound 'love conquers all.' It can build bridges, it can fix gaps between two persons. It can give you tears of joy. It can shatter you into pieces and make your life miserable. It can give you peace and security. It can create an outbreak of war. Love can do so much. Well, maybe that's just how love is. It's something so powerful that we are consumed by it. We don't even know we've been trapped.

WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN!

I asked someone on a date. We've known each other like for almost two years now. Met her in a video shop. Nasa ugali ko na siguro to get attracted with someone, the first time you meet them and you have this feeling na this one's a good catch. So after a few visits at the video shop, medyo pa-cute and all the stuffs a guy does to catch someone's attention, from the tolerable to the lamest! Anyway, ayun, I can brag that I really caught her attention naman. I asked my friend to call their shop and ask for her number haha! Well, as far as I remember binigay naman nya. So during my next visit in their store, ayun medyo feel ko kinain ako ng lupa sa hiya kasi naman, kakaiba tumingin yung ibang staffs and alam ko they know already who I am and the lamest move I just did to get her attention!

We had the chance to eat together, so, I can say we had a date naman, kahit na ang cheap ng place and with some company. But I don't know what happened, parang biglang nawala yung interest ko sa kanya, I don't know.

But we managed to keep the communication lines open. Text-text, pero hanggang dun lang. Not until after almost two years, I've somehow realized that maybe I should try to continue whatever I've started way way back!

Iba yung na-fefeel ko ngayon eh, I don't know, maybe I've matured na din, or should I say I have moved on?! harhar! But Law school really is my number one enemy that's why I am holding back my feelings, to anyone. Ang hirap eh, plus the fact that I am uncertain whether I am really ready to commit to someone. One can say, that there's no harm in trying, but I don't want to risk a relationship anymore. I don't want to hurt someone. I don't want to put burden again on someone.

But this I could say, I am more than willing to enter into a relationship right now than before!

As the song goes, "Now I'm ready this time, I know that I'm no longer undecided.."
